Clinique International du Parc Monceau

TUESDAY 7 MARCH KIDNEY OBESITY SCREENING DAY

Posted on 03/03/2017

As part of the 12th National Kidney Week, the Clinique Internationale du Parc Monceau organised for the 3rd year an information and screening day (anonymous and free) on Tuesday 07 March 2017 from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

All people (visitors, patients, practitioners, providers and clinic professionals), who wished to check that their kidneys were working properly and assess the risks of developing diseases (obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease), were able to talk to and be looked after by a nurse in a consultation room.

The screening was carried out by collecting the following information:
Weight, height and BMI
Urine dipstick test
Measurement of blood pressure
Measurement of blood sugar levels
Calculation of Findrisk score

Participants were welcomed by a nurse and Mr Patrick Fleury (FNAIR volunteer).

Depending on the results of these tests, participants were also referred to the dialysis department for treatment by a nephrologist.

In all, 48 people volunteered for the screening, including 3 who were referred to the nephrologist.
