OBESITY - DISCUSSION GROUP - SATURDAY 30 MARCH 10AM-12PM

The next Obesity discussion group will take place on SATURDAY 30 MARCH 2019 FROM 10am TO 12pm at the clinic.
This group allows patients to discuss their experiences, their lived experience, their apprehensions, and their successes in a friendly atmosphere.
The meeting is also an opportunity to set up an exchange between pre-operative and post-operative patients. Patients will be invited to share their experiences and ask any questions they may have. This month's participants include bariatric surgeons Jean-Pierre ANROY, Maxime Reza BAREI, Aziz KARAA and Bruto RANDONE. Dr Maurice MOUTOT will be present for a discussion on sleep apnoea and exertional dyspnoea. The meeting was moderated by Nikita Roux, dietician.

An association for the care of obese patients will host the meeting. This association organises discussion groups and meetings and discussions on dietetics. To finance these activities, the association charges a one-off membership fee of 20 euros for 6 months, during which time you can take part in the various discussion groups and all the dietetic events. This fee enables the association to create various projects around bariatric surgery, for both pre- and post-operative patients.

You will be given a certificate at the end of the discussion group. This will enable you to provide proof of pre- and post-operative dietary monitoring to the Social Security. It also concerns patients who have already undergone surgery, to justify the possibility of undergoing reconstructive plastic surgery or another bariatric procedure.
