NATIONAL KIDNEY WEEK - SUCCESS OF SCREENING

Posted on 03/15/2019

As part of National Kidney Week, the TURIN clinic and the PARC MONCEAU INTERNATIONAL clinic each organised a free kidney screening day on their premises.

Thanks to the efforts of the nephrology and dialysis teams at the 2 clinics, over 100 people volunteered for the screening.

All the people (visitors, patients, practitioners, service providers and professionals from the clinics) who wanted to check that their kidneys were working properly and assess their risk of developing illnesses (obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease) were able to talk to and be looked after by the dialysis care team.

Two volunteers from the Association France Rein also took part in the event.

The screening was carried out by collecting the following information:

  • Weight, height and BMI
  • Urine strip test
  • Measurement of blood pressure
  • Measurement of blood sugar levels
  • Calculation of Findrisk score

We would like to thankall theparticipants and the dialysis teams for their participation.
